How to Prepare for a Full-Day Production Shoot
A full-day production is a significant investment — here's how to prepare so every hour on set counts.
Two Weeks Before
Finalize your shot list. Work with us to define exactly what you need. Organized by setup, location, and priority. A clear shot list is the single most important preparation you can do — it keeps the day moving and ensures nothing gets missed.
Scout locations. If we're shooting somewhere new, we'll visit together or review photos of the space. We're looking at light direction, background options, and any logistical constraints.
Coordinate outfits and props. Gather everything you'll need. Steaming, organizing, and labeling outfits by setup saves precious minutes on shoot day. If props or products are involved, confirm they're ready and organized.
The Day Before
- Lay out every outfit, pressed and on hangers
- Charge all devices
- Confirm call time and location with everyone involved
- Pack a bag with essentials: water, snacks, touch-up items, phone charger
- Get a full night's sleep
Shoot Day
Arrive early. Production days start on time. Arriving 15 minutes early gives you a moment to settle in before we begin.
Trust the schedule. We build the day around light conditions and setup complexity. Trust the flow — we've done this before.
Stay hydrated and fed. Full days are long. We'll build in breaks, but bring snacks and water. Low energy shows on camera.
Speak up. If something doesn't look or feel right, say so. It's your shoot. Small adjustments in the moment save time in post.
After the Shoot
We deliver a proof gallery within 7-10 business days. For full-day productions with high image volume, we may deliver in batches so you can start using images while we finish the rest.
